Betty Cella

Betty A. Cella , 84, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Betty was born in Akron, Ohio on Feb. 18, 1937 to the late Sanford and Elsie (Lumb) Armstrong and lived in the North Hill area all of her life. She was a member of the Polish American Club, Eagles #555, and VFW Post 4738 Lady’s Auxiliary and was a past Avon Cosmetics Rep.  She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching their events along with the family fishing trips to Canada, reading, bowling and traveling.
Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, James Germano Cella; and daughter, Janeen Rose Cella.  She is survived by her son, James S. (Erica) Cella; grandsons, Jeffrey and Justin Holliday, and Nico Cella; granddaughter, Gianna Cella; great-grandson, Brody Holliday; brothers, Robert (Carole) Armstrong, David (Karan) Armstrong, William (Patricia) Armstrong; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm, Friday, June 25, 2021 at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44310 with Pastor Rich Ferris, officiant. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.  Betty's final resting place will be Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087.
