Eugenia was such an AMAZING lady! She had such an energetic, vibrant personality and exuded a " Love of life" that drew so many people to her ! I was honored to be her friend and fellow teacher at St. Martha School. Our St. Martha group met very often over the last 25 years and we all loved to listen to her stories of adventure and travel. I will surely miss her and she will be forever in my heart and thoughts.

I have known Doc and Mama since my high school days in the early 70s.I was a student of Docs at Cuyfalls high school and thats where the fun and memories began. I spent many days over at their house learning how to do many projects around the house. I,and later with my wife Joyce took several trips with them including Atlantic City and Myrtle Beach-wow what fun!Casinos and poker games were always on the docket. Mama lived an extraordinarily healthy life thus 99 years old! I know she is smiling down on us now because she was always so,so charming. Mama, say hi to your beloved Jorge from all of us and God Bless!

I had Sra. Ruiz at Forest Hill and loved her so much as a teacher who really cared about her students. I went on to study Spanish in Jr. high and high school and continued in college. I was lucky enough to teach Spanish at St Vincent-St. Mary High school for 10 years. I would always think of Sra. and tried to teach Spanish and lessons of life like she taught me. Then I was blessed to have her back in my life when she taught my children at St. Martha school!! She will be missed by so many.

Senora Ruiz was our Spanish teacher at Jackson Elementary School. My four siblings and I loved her. She inspired in me a love of Spanish and I went on to take Spanish classes through college. Senora was always fun, pleasant, smiling and was a wonderful teacher. She would see my mom at various events throughout the years and would always ask what my siblings and I were doing at that particular time. These happenings went on for 50+ years. How thoughtful and sweet of her! She was a wonderful person and will always be remembered with fondness.
