Kenneth Paul Burdett , 61, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, went to be with his savior Jesus on September 3, 2021. He was born to the late George and Elsy ( Granstrom ) Burdett in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in eastern Pennsylvania where he greatly enjoyed his time in Brigade at Grace Chapel, hiking on the Appalachian trail, camping, fishing, and wrestling. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1984, and his professional career was in computer programming and video networks.
On February 23, 1985, he was married to Rhonda ( Wilkinson ) in Akron, Ohio, and they were blessed with four children. They sought to lead their children to love the Lord, and made many special memories in more recent years traveling, playing chicken foot dominoes, and spending time with their grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and building and collecting model cars. He had a lovely singing voice and an infectious laugh, and he gave really good hugs.
His remaining family includes his wife, Rhonda and his children, Michael ( Charity ) Burdett of Woodbine, Illinois, Jennifer ( Michael ) Hoffman of Orrville, Ohio, Melissa Heslop of Calgary, Alberta, and Kristen Burdett of Cleveland, Ohio. There are 16 grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Sherry Burns in Arizona, Robert Burdett in Georgia, Richard Burdett in Pennsylvania, James Burdett in California, Susan Turansky in Maryland, and 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Randy Burdett in Pennsylvania. Ken and Rhonda attended High Country Baptist Church.
The family will greet friends at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton, OH on Wednesday, September 29 from 1 to 2 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, in Fairlawn, OH.
I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with Ken at Time Warner Cable. He was a great guy. Liz H
