Maria Sgotto
Maria Rosa Sgotto, nee Murdocco, 80, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
Maria was born Monday, October 21, 1940 in Caulonia, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Candido) Murdocco and lived in the Munroe Falls area most of her life.
In addition to her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her oldest brother, Vincenzo N. Murdocco. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Saverio Sgotto; sons, Antonio, Paul, and Vito (Kathryn) Sgotto; grandson, Salvatore Sgotto and many other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021, 11:00 am at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44310 (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.). Visitation will be Monday, August 9, 2021, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and 1 HOUR PRIOR to service time on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Maria's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.

So sorry to hear this news. I remember the wonderful evenings spent at your home having those great meals and way too much wine. Maria was an excellent cook. I tried foods and preserved veggies that I had never had before. One better than the next. Maria was so welcoming to me when I joined the Italian community. Another of our dear ones lost.
