Angeline M. Clawson

Angeline (Angie) M. Clawson R. N., nee Vitto, 81, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on Dec. 13, 2007. Born July 10, 1926 in Akron, Ohio, Angie moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 1954. She was a registered nurse graduating from St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing in June, 1947, retiring in 1960. She was a member of St. Joseph Church of Cuyahoga Falls, St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Assoc. and a member and past President of Mogadore VFW Ladies Auxiliary 8487. Angie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Clawson, parents, Nick and Victoria Vitto, brother, Peter Vitto, daughter-in-law, Teri Clawson; and brothers-in-law, Gene Clawson and Albert Scarpitti. She is survived by sons, David (Marge) of Mogadore, OH, Mark (Paula) of Jacksonville, FL, Paul (Barbara) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; sisters, Philomena Scarpitti, Rose (Jim) Knee and Donna (Nick) Zurzolo; sister-in-law, Sally Clawson; grandsons, Shane, Brian, Kyle, Shawn, Chad and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Czara and Berea; special friends, Cecil and Linda Strickler and family, Mark Boyce and children; many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the third floor staff at Falls Village Nursing Center and Harbor Light Hospice for there excellent tender loving care, kindness, compassion and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 9:30 am at St. Joseph Church, 1761 Second St., Cuyahoga Falls. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON where Mogadore VFW Ladies Auxiliary 8487 will have services at 6:00 pm. Angie's final resting place will be Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
