Angelus Francis Sassano

Angelus Francis Sassano, 90, passed away May 26, 2008, at home. Angelus was born in Akron on October 17, 1917, to Ciro and Conzi Sassano. He was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church and was a machinist at BF Goodrich, retiring in 1974, after 37 years of service. Angelus is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe; and sisters, Rachel Rinaldo and Marie Kittle. He leaves to mourn his wife, Edna of 62 years; sons, Dr. Ronald (Merry) of Scottsdale, AZ and Dr. David Sassano of Oldsmar, FL; daughters, Pat (Tom) Waterson of Seville and Joanne Sassano at home as his caregiver; grandchildren, Stacey (Jim) Cavey of Seville and Michael Sassano of N. Canton; great-grandchildren, Meghan and Bryan Cavey; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, 11:30 am at St. Martha Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 to 11 am at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Angelus's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery. Please no flowers.
