Anne Parker

Anne Parker passed away holding her daughter’s hand on Dec 28, 2023.
Anne was born on August 28, 1926 and was a feisty 97-year-old who lived for her family and home. She worked at Stutzman’s for over 30 years and was a favorite of everyone. Most of her life was spent in Cuyahoga Falls. She and Gordon, her husband of over 50 years spent time traveling after his retirement but always came back home to be around all the people she loved. When Gordon had a massive stroke leaving him partially paralyzed, she lovingly took care of him for 18 years. She drove until she was 92, stayed active and enjoyed the home she shared for 27 years with her daughter Lynn and Partner Larry Frye. At age 90 she was caught sneaking into the Hard Rock Casino daily, fibbing that she was going to walk at the mall! Every day she made sure there were “Lottery Tickies” to scratch. Lynn definitely couldn’t come home without some! Amazingly, also at age 90, she was picked to be on the Cash Explosion Show, not once but twice. She was so excited and professional, she acted like a movie star.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband Gordon; her mother Leona (Sekusky) Bafante; father James; sister Rose Harrington and her daughter Lynn’s father, Jack Bower.
She leaves to mourn her passing her heartbroken daughter, Lynn Stalder; sister, Dolores Massaro; brother, William Bower and nephew, Martin Harrington and family.
She was a 4’10 force to be reckoned with and the world lost a beautiful soul.
There will be a graveside service at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park at a time to be announced. Many thanks to all the staff at Hospice of Western Reserve for all heir care and kindness, especially her team Judy, Kristen and Emily.
