Barbara Koehl Germano

Barbara Germano, 95, passed away on June 26, 2020. She was born September 26, 1924 in Akron to the late Frank and Annie Koehl. She graduated from Kenmore High School and retired after 20 years as an Executive Secretary at The B.F. Goodrich Co. Barb loved spending holidays with her family and planning the parties for their get-togethers. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and had a sweet tooth for chocolate.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Frank Germano; sisters, Betty Dudra, Edna Sue Imler, Mary Johnson, Anne Darr, Katherine Bradshaw, and Shelly Negray.

She is survived by her children, Frank Germano, Susan Haag, and Fred (Cheryl) Germano; sister, Peggy Bandy; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pebble Creek for their compassion and care of Barb.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. (For the safety of the family and other guests, face coverings are requested and the number of people permitted into the building will be limited). A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd. Akron at 12:30 PM.
