Barbara Vozar Ritter

Barbara “Barb” Ritter, 72, beloved Wife, Mother and Child of God, was called Home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 9, 2023. Barb was born in Barberton, Ohio on June 6, 1951. Meeting the love of her life Terry after he finished serving in Vietnam, they were married on April 7, 1973. The Lord then blessed them with two daughters.

Through the years, Barb worked at the Wadsworth Foundry, Firestone, and Buehler’s. In her free time she loved playing Scrabble, Perquackey and watching Little House on the Prairie, in addition to watching her beloved Buckeyes, of which she was a fan through and through. Barb also loved the many family cruises, having traveled to many interesting places including Argentina, Japan, Israel, Ireland, France, Hawaii and Alaska.

Having loved Jesus, Barb was a part of Grace Church faithfully for many years.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Vozar; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Delwyn Ritter; and brother-in-law, Ronald Ritter.

Barb is survived by her loving husband, Terry; daughters, Julie and Amy; sister, Kathy (Gary) Shepperd; brother, Bill (Carol) Vozar; brother-in-law, Tim (Mary) Ritter; sisters-in-law, Kathy Ritter and Cindy (Paul) Papke; Aunt Marge and Uncle Paul Biro; Uncle Ernie and Aunt Carol Kiminecz. Barb is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thanks to Marilyn Horsey, Nurses Amy and Aubry, along with the staff of Doylestown Health Care Center for their wonderful care of Barb. They also wish to thank Summa Hospice for their wonderful care given to Barb.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, OH 44203. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Grace Church, Norton Campus, 3970 S. Cleveland Massillon Road, Norton, OH 44203.
