Bertram George Bastock

Bertram G. Bastock, 73, passed peacefully into his Savior's arms October 21, 2008. Born in Cleveland to the late Bertram S. and Fanny (Wicks) Bastock, Bertram grew up working in his family's butcher shop in Cleveland. Having lived in northeast Ohio all his life, Bertram raised his family in Akron for 39 years. He was a retired trainer from the Infocision Management Corporation of Akron. With heartfelt devotion, Bertram was a source of strength, courage, honor, humor and deep love to his family. Bertram is survived by: his loving wife, Donna L.M. (Muntz), of 47 years; sons, Jonathan (Donna) Bastock of Cuyahoga Falls and David (Julie) Bastock of Akron; and grandchildren, Justin, Noah, Evan, and Jillian Bastock, who were each his pride and joy. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lauren Bastock. At Bertram's request, there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, condolences for the Bastock family may be sent to the funeral home.
