Betty Jean Eller

Betty J. Eller, 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022.
Betty was born Friday, June 30, 1933 to the late Roy and Gladys (Morgan) Perkins and lived in the Akron area most of her life. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Berea College in Kentucky.  After college she married her husband, Robert Eller. She then went on to teach Home Economics at Manchester High School.  
Betty was a faithful member of Community Church of Portage Lakes where she enjoyed attending women's Bible studies, teaching Sunday School, and spent many years leading the youth group. Betty and Bob took the youth group on many mission trips.  
She had a heart for helping people and building relationships, but her greatest joy was leading others to the Lord.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Eller.  She is survived by her children, Debbie (Jeff) Allen and Jeff (Ericka) Eller; grandchildren, Caitlin (Cody), Jordan (John), Mattie, Spencer (Casie), Robert, Hope (Alex), Lexie, Bryson, and Cooper; great-grandchildren, Nate, Gabe, Nora, Emerson, Cora, and Oliver; and many other loving family and friends.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Community Church of Portage Lakes, 3260 Cormany Rd., Akron, Ohio 44319, with   Pastors Michael Rybka and Gary Meeks officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (two hours before the service time). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Church of Portage Lakes.
