When you guys were little we would all pack in one car and go grocery shopping. We would be gone most of the day.

Of course, my memories include her being so angry at me calling so much and tying up the phone for so long. I even had a knack of irritating her as an adult. Those are better memories than seeing her on her last day. I hope she was not in too much pain. It pained us seeing her that way. Soon, that memory will fade and instead Suzie, Kathy, and Pat will just miss her and their many conversations with her. Keep her present. She will always be alive that way.

On my first trip to Michigan to meet everyone, Betty was the first to greet me with open arms and the only one who actually said “welcome to the family “. I’ll never forget her loving words and her kindness.
