Carl Gilbert Triplett, 91, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022.

Carl was born Friday, July 31, 1931 to the late Isaac and Sylvia (Hamrick) Triplett and lived in the Barberton area most of his life. He worked for Babcock and Wilcox as a machinist for over 23 years. Carl was a faithful member of Barberton Church of God. He loved trains and steam engines, tinkering on cars, reading and traveling, especially to his birthplace of West Virginia, as well as spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances; and sister, Maxine Williams. He is survived by his son, Terry (Roberta) Triplett of Virginia; daughters, Crystal (Jeffrey) Myers, Lori (Randy) Hoskinson, Heather (Bryan) Schlickman; brothers, Glenn (Pat) Triplett and Randy (Kathy) Triplett; grandchildren, Chris (Hillary) Blake, Carl (Cali) Triplett, Charla (Pete) Moraghan, Shannon (Josh) Ocheltree, Mara Schlickman, Evan Schlickman, Sarah Mowder, Cory Hoskinson, Avery Mowder; 7 great-grandchildren;  and many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be on Monday December 12, at 2:00 PM at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319, with grandson Chris Blake Officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM leading up to the service. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.
