Carmela Manno (nee, Barbuto)

Carmela Manno, nee Barbuto, 85, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Carmela was born on Thursday, June 11, 1936 in Akron, Ohio to the late Joseph and Joanne (Rizzo) Barbuto and lived in Akron area all of her life. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony Parish and liked to read, do word puzzles and watch her Hallmark movies and game shows.  She loved her family very much and was very proud of her legacy.
         Along with her parents, Carmela is preceded in death by her husband, Armando Manno, Sr.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cosimo and Angela Manno.  She is survived by her children, Angela (Robert) DeVitis, Joanne (Tom) Boyd, Cosimo (Susan) Manno, Josephine (Rocco) Gallo, Joseph Manno, and Armando (Laura) Manno Jr.; grandchildren, Amanda (Dave), Nicholas (JoEllen), Daniel, Gia, Christina (Mark), Vincent, Jacqueline (Matt), Joseph (Natalie), Zachary, Gino, Marissa, Noah, Armando III; 12 great-grandchildren;  and many other loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
         Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, Ohio 44310 with Rev. Father Edward Burba, Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main Street, Akron (corner of N. Main St. and Mildred Ave.).  Carmela's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.
    Carmela’s family would like to extend a special thank-you to Karamas Kares: Heather, Misty, Dawn, Hilary, Sandy, and Susie - our angels; and to Crossroads Hospice.
         Due to Covid-19, Carmela’s family request that those attending the Mass of Christian Burial and/or Visitation will practice social distancing and wear face masks.  If you are unable to attend we understand, your love and prayers will be appreciated.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony Church.
