Caterina Maria Cavallaro

TALLMADGE-Caterina Maria Cavallaro (Demasi) 89, passed away Feb. 22, 2007 at her residence. Born on Nov. 17, 1917 in San Nicola , Italy , to the late Antonio and Carmela (Manno) Demasi, Caterina moved to America and the Akron area in 1967. She had a strong belief in her faith. She recited the rosary everyday, loved to read books about the Saints and was a faithful member of Christ the King Church . Caterina loved to sew and was a wonderful seamstress. Caterina was a very caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother and had a great love for her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and was extremely proud of her heritage. Along with her parents, Caterina is preceded in death by her loving husband Ilario;and baby sister, Lucia Demasi; She is survived by children, Vincenzo (Teresa) Cavallaro of Stow, Carmela (Tony) Cursaro of Tallmadge, Tony (Maria) Cavallaro of Stow and Teresa (Antonio) DiFrangia of Tallmadge; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Cecilia Frammartino of Tallmadge; brothers, Dominic Demasi of Cuyahoga Falls, Vincenzo Demasi of Cuyahoga Falls, Nick Demasi of Cuyahoga Falls and Larry Demasi of Akron; and many loving sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Sullivan, Dr. Silver, and Dr. Boshkos, the staff at Monroe Falls Dialysis Center and Patty and Julie for all of their loving care and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10:00 am at Christ the King Church, 1584 Creighton Ave., Akron with Father Frank Basa officiating. Entombment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens . Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Sunday at the HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST. , AKRON .
