Catherine Ann Waters-Pendergast

Catherine Ann Waters Pendergast, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2024. She was born on Tuesday, July 18, 1939 in Harrison, Ohio to the late William and Mildred (Grubbs) Wurtzler. Cathy retired after 35 years of teaching at Weaver School and Workshop. She was a faithful member of Connect Church. Cathy enjoyed shopping and loved spending time with people sharing the love of God and making a difference in peoples lives. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Waters Sr.; and brother, William Wurtzler. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Pendergast; children, Sherry (Brian) Smith, Kimberly (Stephen) Davis, Frederick (Danielle) Waters Jr., Melanie (Kenneth) Kavalchek; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Millie (Victor) Godbey and Joyce (Roger) Rimstidt; sister-in-law, Lillie Wurtzler; and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton, OH 44203 A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in memory of Catherine Waters Pendergast.
