Claire E. Cano

Claire, E. Cano, 77, passed away Apr. 17, 2021. Claire was born in Chicago, Illinois on Apr. 26, 1943 and lived in the Barberton area since 1992. She was a LPN, a career which she loved and was dedicated to most of her life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed reading and socializing.

Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Candido; son, Mark; brother, Wilson (Bud) Foster; and sisters, Rae and Louise Foster. She is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Tim) Smith, Karen (Todd) Gravius, and Christina (Joe) Dalton; grandchildren, Kyle (Amanda) Cano, Taylor (Tom) Leonard, Mateya (Cory) Romain, Amanda (Aaron) and Christian Gravius, Haley and Makenna Dalton and Dakota and Noah Smith; great-grandchildren, Jayce, Lucas, Henley, Kylie, Ariya, Cove and Caynan; sister, Marsha Chase and Eleanor Frechette; and many more loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Claire’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Chapel Hill Nursing facility and Cross Roads Hospice for their excellent care and loving compassion.

Memorial service will be Thursday, 2:00 pm at Community Church of Portage Lakes, 3260 Cormany Rd., Coventry Township, OH 44319. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church. Claire’s final resting place will be Manchester Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. at act.alz.org/donate.
