Cre Croghan

Cre Croghan, 93, left this earthly life and joined her Heavenly Father April 24, 2007. Cre was a life long resident of North Hill and a member of Chapel Hill Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Cre also lived in Bradenton, Florida, for several years during the winter months. She also vacationed several years in Peterborough, Canada. She loved to bowl, golf, go boating, and fish. Cre was retired from Goodyear where she worked as a shipping clerk in Plant 3. She was a member of the Akron Business Woman Association (ABWA) and was elected Woman of the Year in 1976. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Cuyahoga Falls Commandery, was a brownie troop leader and a member of the Wingfoot Girls. Not only was Cre an accomplished woman, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her great grandchildren fondly called her GiGi. Cre is preceded in death by her husband, Marion; her son Richard and son-in-law Ron Hastings. She is survived by her son, Joe Garner; daughter, Patricia Hastings; son, Ronald Croghan; nephew, Ed Hutchinson; and cousin, Poogie Williams. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the terrific care Cre received from the very special staff at the Elms Assisted Living in Hudson. Each one of you touched her life and meant so much to her and her family. We'd also like to thank Odyssey Hospice for being there for her in the final days. Funeral Service will be held Monday, 2:00 pm, at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N MAIN ST., AKRON. Visitation will begin at noon until service time on Monday. Cre's final resting place will be Greenlawn Memorial Park.
