Dante E. Parisi, 75 went home to the Lord Feb. 22, 2009. Dante was born in Carovilli, Italy in 1933. He came to America in 1950 and lived all his life in the Akron, North Hill area. He served in the US Army. When he he returned, he worked and retired from Firestone Tire and rubber Co. after 30 years of service and worked for the City of Akron for two years. Dante was a lifetime member of the Carovillese Club and a 4 time winner of their Man of the Year award. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and planning special events and activities with his friends at the club. Dante is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Carmela (Falasca) Parisi; sisters, Iolanda, Fiorina and Irma; and brother, Lorenzo. He is survived by wife of 49 years, Maria; children, Diana, Luana, Vincent and Sandra (Jesse); grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Andrew, Natalie, Matthew, Isabella and Jacob; sister-in-law, Livia; and many nieces and nephews. The Parisi Family would like to extent a special thank you to Akron Paramedics, the nurses, doctors and staff at Akron City Hospital's ER, Hemodialysis Dept., ICU for their care and compassion with taking care of Dante. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 9:30 am at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Dante's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.
