Darlene Abernathy

Darlene Abernathy, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was born on Wednesday, October 1, 1930 in Kitzmiller, Maryland to the late Lester and Lillian (Dewalt) Reall. She was a faithful member of Kingsway Church.
     
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Abernathy; and son, Harry (Sheree) Abernathy. She is survived by her children, Linda (Gary) Hostler, Sue (Mike) Cromwell, Mark (Cindy) Abernathy, Charlie Abernathy (Serena); 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; nephew, Mike Reall; special friend, Jodie; and many other loving family and friends.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319, where a funeral service will be at Noon. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Darlene has requested no flowers, but donations be made to Kingsway Church, 2500 Kingsport Way, Akron, OH 44314, in memory of Darlene.
