Darlene Dianne (Duncan) Zwick, 71, of New Franklin Ohio passed away on September 29, 2021, at The Cleveland Clinic Hospice Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Darlene was born on September 14, 1950, in Akron, Ohio. Darlene was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She loved animals, especially her pet dogs and birds. She had a passion for helping others and was able to utilize that gift by working as an aid to special needs students at Norton City Schools for the past 21 years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Michael T. Zwick, whom she married on November 14, 1970; parents Lester and Mary Duncan; siblings Harvey, Colleen "Bambi", and Shawn Duncan; father-in-law and mother-in-law Lester and Lee Zwick; brothers-in-law Robert Braud and Thomas Herritt. She is survived by her sister Janet (Chris) Bellios; daughter Mary (Neil) Drabinski; sons Michael (Mandy Burkey), Matthew (Anna Huang), and Mark Zwick; grandchildren Emma, Jaiden, Colleen, Lexton, Alyssa, and Ian; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.,

Per Darlene's wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.  If you knew her, this shouldn't come as a surprise.  She was never one to allow people to fuss over her. Cremation to take place at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, Norton, Ohio, with private burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to an animal shelter of the donor's choice or plant a tree in Darlene's name.
