Delta M Basile

Delta M. Basile, 70, went home to be with the Lord February 5, 2009. Delta was born in Clarence, NY and grew up in LaGrange, IN. She lived most of her life on North Hill. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was involved in Jackson and Harris Elementary, Jennings Middle School and North High School during her children's education and also served as a crossing guard. She loved the outdoors and loved her family and faith. She often volunteered at St. Martha Church and Wintergreen Ledges Church. Delta is preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Byler and son, Dominic Basile. She is survived by her husband, Frank of 38 years; sons, Frank, Robin, Ross (Nancy) and Mike Basile; daughter, Kim Rinker; grandchildren, Kay, Dominic, Ross, Cindy, Michael and Jane; great-grandchildren, Patricia, Dominic, Josephine and Frankie; brothers, Richard, Eldon, Gaylord David and Bob; sisters, Lucille and Louise; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 am at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON with Pastor Jim Roma officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Delta's final resting place will be Rose Hill Burial Park.
