Diane Bonchak Franchi, 75, of Norton passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2023, surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. 
Diane was born in Mc Kees Rocks, Pennsylvania on August 9,1948.  She was a 1966 graduate of Montour High School and then attended Presbyterian University Hospital and became an RN in 1969.  In 1971 she married the love of her life, Robert Franchi, and moved to Akron, Ohio where they raised their family on North Hill.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years then, together with her husband started The International Singing Telegram Company.  She was the Vice President of the company and spent years designing costumes and laying the foundation that helped turn the business into a Nationwide Service. 
She enjoyed caring for her animals, her dogs, cats and pet goats.  She was a collector of many things and loved taking photographs leaving hundreds of albums for her family to cherish. 
Family was a very important part of Diane’s life including her many cousins from Pittsburgh and her close family in Canada, Zenon and Arlene Konopka and family. 
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, William and Olga Bonchak.  She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert Franchi of Norton.  Daughter April Franchi of New Franklin, Daughter Kim (Chris) Glover of Norton, Son Adam Franchi of Akron.  Grandchildren Daniel Wells, Jessica (Brandon) Sparks, Carly Glover, Kendall Glover and Adaiada Franchi.  Great Grandchild Jamison Wells.  Brother William Bonchak Jr. and Sister Lois Kalinsky.  Nephew Shaun Kalinsky.  Niece Tanya Kalinsky. 
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203, with Pastor Rich Ferris Officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2023, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, September 2, 2023, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Norton), 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203.  Diane's final resting place will be Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
