Donald Robert Kaufman

Donald R. Kaufman, 91, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023.

Donald was born Friday, August 14, 1931 to the late Robert and Florence (VonGunten) Kaufman and lived in the Coventry Township area all his life. He worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. for over 20 years, after his retirement, he was a real estate agent for D. W. Kaufman Real-Estate well into his 80’s. He was a faithful member of Grace United Church of Christ of Loyal Oak, a Life member of the Akron Area Board of Realtors and American Legion - Garfield Memorial Post 566. He was honorably discharged from the US Army and loved his family, gardening, his birds and his dog, Presley Louise. 

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his first love, Harvey Morgan; and sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Duane Sr. "Hank" Collins. He is survived by his husband of 31 years, Kenneth Copeland; three step-children, Melissa Copeland, Michele (Kenneth) Stacy, Michael (Corrine) Copeland; 7 grandchildren; sister, Carole (Harold) Widmer; sister-in-law, Karen (Gerald) Copeland-Reese; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 30, 2023 at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203.  Visitation will be Friday, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Donald's final resting place will be Greenlawn Memorial Park.
