Donna Jean Stair

Donna Jean Stair, age 87, of Wadsworth, was called Home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Apostolic Christian Village following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Holmes County, OH on July 22, 1934 to the late Russell and Vera (Hamlin) Martin.  On May 12, 1956, she married H. Dwight Stair, who survives.

She was a homemaker most of her life and worked at Ann’s Pastry Shop and Barlett-Cook Flower Shoppe after her children were grown.   She was a long standing member of the Grace Church of Norton where she taught Sunday School to multiple generations of children and served wherever needed.  Donna’s life priorities were her faith in Jesus Christ and the importance of her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Frederick (Linda) Stair of Hartville and Richard (Penny) Stair of Bath Township, her five grandchildren, Nathanael (Ashley) Stair of Canal Fulton, Rachel (Lee) Barnhouse of Uniontown, Micah (Jacqui) Stair of Hartville, Jessica (Chad) Jorza of North Canton, and Corbin Stair of Richfield, her 10 great grandchildren, her brother, Earl (Terrie) Martin of Wooster and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Wanda Martin, William Martin, Ruby Miller and Raymond Martin.

The family will greet friends at Grace Church of Norton, 3970 Cleveland-Massillon Road, Norton, Ohio 44203 on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Gregory officiating and Pastor Robert Combs assisting.  She will be interred at the Mohican Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Lattasburg, OH in a private ceremony prior to the service.

Due to Covid-19, we request that those attending the service practice social distancing; masks are optional but strongly recommended.
