Doris Elizabeth Gunias

Doris Elizabeth Gunias (nee Parrish), 86, went home to the Lord on April 21, 2007. Doris was the devoted wife of Dr. James Gunias, mother of Dr. Marc W. Gunias, and grandmother of Jason, Aaron, and Lauren Gunias. Born in Pacific, Missouri, Doris was the eighth of nine children. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Cora Parrish and seven siblings. She is survived by her sister, Jayne Eggers of Springfield, Missouri. After her 1949 marriage to Dr. James Gunias in St. Louis, Missouri, Doris joined him in Akron where they enjoyed many years together. Doris was beloved by those who knew her and will be sadly missed by all her many friends and family. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 936 N. Main Street in Akron. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
