Dorothy F. Buzek

April 27, 1920 — August 17, 2018

Dorothy F. Buzek

Dorothy Frances Buzek (nee Snyder), left for her heavenly home on August 17, 2018 with her husband by her side. She was born in Pittsburg, PA in 1920 and came to Green 72 years ago to marry Danny, the love of her life. It proved to be a wise decision as he has faithfully stayed by her side at the nursing home caring for her every day these past few years. Danny was in the Navy and participated in the D-Day invasion of Southern France during World War II. It was during this time that he met Dorothy in Cape May, NJ.  During this time she was a "Rosy the Riveter" back home in PA. They enjoyed dancing together and were good enough to win jitter bug contests.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Buzek; children, Danese Fisher and Keith (Chris) Buzek; grandchildren, Michael (Adria) Buzek , Jill (Scott) Grizer, Matthew Buzek Sr. and Ryan Fisher; and great- grands,  Kaylee, Alyssa, Gabriella and Savanna Buzek, Danny and Kyle Grizer, Leah, Matthew Jr., Lillian, and Johanna Buzek.  Dorothy was always so proud of her family and would support whatever activities they were involved with.

In addition to her parents, Jessie (McCoy) and Peter Schneiderlochner, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Mona Marie Buckley (Snyder); and her brothers, Russell and Earl Snyder.

Love for the family was always most important to Dorothy and she opened her home and her heart many times to family members throughout the years. She and Danny are God Parents for the children of many family and friends. She loved organizing picnics and family gatherings, especially Christmas. She also loved getting together with family in PA for picnics or to just spend the weekend playing cards.

She never passed up the opportunity to baby sit and spoil the kids, teaching them to play cards and then beating them, having Easter egg hunts and cooking for them. We all agree that no one makes better stuffed-peppers than Dorothy.

Dorothy loved spending time in her flower garden, which is also the name of her favorite hymn, In the Garden, where she will eternally walk with her Savior.

A special thanks to Sonny and Karrie Guenther and Nick and Nancy Robeson for their loving support and the many visits to Dorothy
