Duane Robert Gaffney

Duane R. Gaffney, 76, passed away Nov., 21, 2009. Duane was born in Akron and lived in the area all his life. He was an avid gardener and bird watcher and loved to play the harmonica in the Rubber Capital Harmonica Club. He also served in the Korean War. Duane is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann in 1992. he is survived by his daughters, Kathleen (Harold) Julian, Julia (David) Rapini and Sharon Gaffney; grandchildren, Rusty and Theadore Julian and Ashley and Amanda Rager; and one great-grandson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by VFW Firestone Post 3383.
