Edward L. Hofstetter, 11/30/1936 – 1/27/2023.
“Creativity is intelligence having fun,” (Albert Einstein). This very much applies to our Dad. An exceptionally intelligent man, he was having the most fun when he was creating, whether it was during his architectural career or during retirement in his workshop or beloved “barn”. The only exception to this was when he was at our grandparent’s cottage at the lake with his family - fishing, boating, or sharing a beer with our grandfather. Recently he stated, “that was the happiest time of my life”. Even there, he was creating, always helping improve the lake cottage. He was always seeing what he could make better, always had a vision of how things should be. His legacy lives on in his creations, homes and buildings that still stand, and the many different gifts he made for friends and loved ones. He will certainly be missed, but not forgotten. We love you and miss you, Dad.
Per his request, there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will take place this coming summer.
