Emma Lu (Lucinda) Smith

Emma Lu Smith went home to be with the Lord peacefully on December 6, 2020. Born in Coventry Township, Ohio, Emma was known for her kindness. She was a member of Lakeview Christian Church where she sang in the choir as well as a ladies sextet. Emma earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from The University of Akron, where she met her husband, Robert L. Smith. Emma loved to dance and play cards. And oh how she loved to win!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha M. Whissen and George L. Whissen; and brothers George A. Whissen and Thomas R.Whissen.

She leaves behind her husband, Robert L. Smith; children, Cindy Parker, Mindy Caldren, David Smith and Matthew Smith; and grandchildren, Jennifer Halcomb, Kelly Parker, Rachel Parker, and Exavier Smith.

Due to the COVID pandemic, a private family service will take place.

Those wishing to send floral tributes may do so on Thursday, December 10, 2020 or to a charity of your choice in memory of Lu.
