Esther Piporo

Esther Piporo, 92, passed away Jan. 21, 2009. Born in Conversano, Italy to the late Dominic and Angelina (Babbo) Fortunato, Esther lived most of her life in the Akron area. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony Church and a Conversanese Club Aux. Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; brother, Joseph Fortunato; and sister, Isabella Montisano. She is survived by sons, Rocco (Dee) Masiella, Anthony (Janet) Masiella, Carl (Becky) Piporo and Joseph (Darcel) Piporo; daughter, Carol (Carl) Perkins; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Marie DiNuoscio; sister-in-law, Mary Fortunato; and many other loving family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 9:30 am at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron. Visitation will be Friday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Esther's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, 350 Opportunity Parkway, Akron, OH 44307 or to a charity of one's choice.
