Eugene Red F. Napier

HUDSON-Eugene F. "Red" Napier (Napierkoski) of Hudson died peacefully and gently on Friday, June 22, 2007 surrounded by his family. A firm believer in God, Eugene was a loving father with a kind heart and great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. Eugene, formerly of North Hill, in Akron was a graduate of North High School and proudly served in the U. S. Army in Japan. He retired from General Tire and the Warrensville Hts. Schools. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Mary (Markowski) Napiorkowski, six sisters and one brother. He is survived by seven children, Steve (Kimberly) Napier of Scottsdale, AZ, Christine Baker of Girard, OH, Stan (Susan) Napier of Jackson Twp., OH, Jeannie (Chuck) Winafeld of N. Canton, OH, Mary (Dan) Marinchick of Hudson, OH, Martin (Beverly) Napier of Selma, NC, and John Napier of Flagstaff, AZ; six grandchildren, Wendy and Michele Siegenthaler, Matt Marinchick, Liz Napier, Michael Napier, and Megan Winafeld; five great-grandchildren; and former wife, Marjorie. Friends will be received on Monday, 5 to 8 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, 340 N. Main St., Hudson. Eugene's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by American Legion, Charles Faust Post 281. Memorial donations in Eugene's name may be made to Hospice Care Center and Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, Ohio 44333.
