Geraldine Mae Alderman

Geraldine Mae Alderman, 77, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

Geraldine was born Monday, December 10, 1945 to the late Gilbert and Elizabeth (Nagy) Haring and lived in the Akron area most of her life. She worked for Camp Y-NOAH as a cook, ACME Flower Shop, as well as a homemaker for her husband and four children, she also was a member of the Green High School Alumni Committee for many years. Geraldine was a member of the Red Hats Society and met with her long-time high school girlfriends every month. She enjoyed vacations with her family and bird watching around the country, she was able to visit all but 4 states. 

In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R Alderman, son, Scott A Alderman, brother-in-law, Robert F Echelberry.  She is survived by her daughter, Traci (Dale) Butler; sons, Brian Alderman, Rodney (Susan) Alderman; sister, Ilona Echelberry; grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth, Miranda, Shelby; and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Graveside Service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, Ohio 44320, with Dr. David Benjamin Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Geraldine's name to the New Franklin Fire Department, 5605 Manchester Road, New Franklin, OH 44319.
