Helen J. Farwell

Helen J. Farwell, 98, went home to be with Jesus on November 29, 2021. She was born March 13, 1923, in Clarksburg, W. Va. and grew up in Shinnston W. Va.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert D. Farwell, who also went to Heaven October 1, 2003. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, Earl D. and Bertha B. Jackson; and her husband’s parents, Leslie K. and Reatha G. Farwell.

She was a wonderful pastor’s wife who was very supportive to her husband in ministry. Helen was very musically talented, played the piano, & sang solos with her beautiful soprano voice. She also taught various Sunday School Classes. Helen was a former employee of Ohio Edison in Akron, Ohio. She had the sweetest spirit, and was loved by every person who had the privilege to come in contact with her.

Helen will be greatly missed by her son, Robert M. (Cheryl) Farwell; daughter, Becky Jean Farwell; grandchildren, Drew (Melissa) and Tyler (Amy) Farwell. Also two great grandsons; Chase and Logan Farwell.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.. at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319. Services will follow immediately with burial at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44308, in memory of Helen Farwell.
