Helen Fredricka Henson

Helen F. Henson was born on March 17, 1916 and passed away on March 1, 2010. A life resident of Akron, Helen began her career as a registered nurse for Akron City Hospital. She then worked as a private duty nurse for a number of years. She culminated her 50+ years nursing career at Little Forest Medical Center. She was active in the Woman's Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was a past president of FOE 555. Preceded in death by her husband, Herschel, parents Helen and Richard Wolff, and sister Veronica Rosenberg; Helen is survived by her niece, Helen Neely, nephew Richard (Cathleen) Rosenberg and great-nephew Daniel Rosenberg. Funeral service will be at 2 pm on Thursday at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Calling hours will be from 1 to 2 pm on Thursday, one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.
