Hope A. Smith

Hope A. Smith, 89, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Hope was born on Monday, April 18, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to the late Woodrow and Georgia (Campbell) McDonald. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. She served him faithfully her entire life. She cared about lost souls and that they would come to know Jesus as their Savior one day. She was a "Prayer Warrior", she felt that was her calling for the Lord.

Along with her parents, Hope is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Jeffrey Smith; and sister, Faith Dodd. She is survived by her son, Kerry (Barbara); daughter-in-law, Dawn; grandchildren, Kari, Kim, Matthew (Ariana), Timothy (Samantha), Tiffany, and Lauryn (Kyle); 8 great-grandchildren; special friend, Norma Brooks; all her friends at Maranatha Bible Church; and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday 11:00 am at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 pm to 8 pm and ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Hope's final resting place will be Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio.
