Hal West, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Hal knew no stranger and he was as loyal of a friend as you could ask for….and he had so many friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and any time in nature. He had a colorful childhood he remembered fondly, and a family he cherished who in turn cherished him.

Hal is preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Isa West; and sisters, Dottie West and Gilda Hamby (nee West). He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandy West; daughters, Melissa (Bill) Lawver, Jessica (Titus Hinojos) Nottingham; five grandchildren, Amelia Nottingham, Brandin Wyatt, Cassidy, Taylor, and Kris Nottingham; brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and a large extended family of relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Hal’s life will be 5:00 pm, Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buckeye Outdoors Youth Education & Shooting Center (BOYESC), PO Box 61, Doylestown, Ohio 44230 in Hal’s name.
