Jacalyn Kay Jordan

Jacalyn Jordan, 71, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023.

Jackie was born Tuesday, September 16, 1952 to the late Mildred (Vector) Scarberry and lived in the Akron area all of her life. She loved doing hair and enjoyed putting smiles on her clients faces. Jackie made lifelong friends while working.  She taught cosmetology at Akron Beauty School. She accomplished her career dream of owning her own salon, Jacalyn's Place, and cut hair for many years. Jackie loved to be out on the boat soaking up the sun when ever she could. She also enjoyed looking at the lakes and doing her crossword puzzles. Two of her many talents was painting and her wonderful ability to forgive.

In addition to her mom, Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, Kenny Scarberry, brother, Bob Scarberry, brother, Larry Scarberry. She is survived by her son, Joshua (Kimberly) Zeffer; daughter, Lisa (Dave) Kibler; grandchildren, Madison Sharp and Claire Kibler; great-grandchild, Weston Hoffman; friend, Ray Jordan; and many other loving family and friends.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 29, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, Ohio 44320. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2023, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 425 Literary Rd., Suite 100, Cleveland, OH 44113, and/or Lifebanc, 4775 Richmond Road, Cleveland Ohio 44128-5919.
