James Robert Freshwater

James Robert Freshwater, aka "Cutipie", 76, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023. Jim was a 1965 Coventry High School graduate, had served in the U.S. Army, and upon discharge began his career at Ohio Bell, retiring from Ameritech. He formally served as a past Commander of American Legion Post #566, Garfield.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elizabeth “Jean” Freshwater; brothers, Charles “Chuck” Freshwater and John Freshwater.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila of 48 years; children, James Jason “J.J.”; daughter, Shelly; grandson, Landon; sister, Nancy (Rowland) Bray, sister-in-law, Kathy Freshwater; and numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jim's family, in c/o Sheila Freshwater, and sent to Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319.
