Jean I. Burgoon

Jean Burgoon, 93, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023. She was born on October 2, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Howard and Lela (McCartney) Caricofe and lived in the New Franklin area most of her life. Jean will be remembered for loving her Lord and her family, and demonstrated it daily.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Burgoon; and daughter, Kay Burgoon. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Burgoon; son, Lawrence (Denise) Burgoon; grandchildren, Kathryn (Yoshua) Israel, and Kenneth (Charmaine) Burgoon; great-grandchildren, Zane, Nora, Colin, and Emilie; sister, Joan Beck of FL; and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service. Interment to follow at Manchester Cemetery in New Franklin, Ohio.
