Jean L. Shields

Jean L. Shields, nee Francis, 81, passed away on Dec. 25, 2021.

Jean was born Apr. 20, 1940 in Akron, Ohio, to the late Alfred and Hazel (Elsass) Francis and lived in the Cuyahoga Falls area most of her life. She was a faithful member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and loved to go dancing and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Shields, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Gerri (Dennis) Dougherty and Darlene (John) Pinter; son, Michael Shields; brother, John (Dorothy) Francis; 12 grand children; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Slusser and Nancy (Donald) Moore; and many loving family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at Oakwood Cemetery.
