Jeannette Ann Mills

Jeannette Ann Mills, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 25, 2022.  She was the daughter of Sabri and Anna Kovaly Demer.  Born and raised in Massillon, she was a member of Washington High School Class of 1956. They were the holders of four Massillon football season tickets, row GG under the roof, an experience they enjoyed sharing with friends on Friday nights for many years.  She spent her adult life in Akron, residing at Canton Christian Home the past six years.

Jeannette was a secretary for Hercules in Canton and Audiophone Co. in Akron before focusing on her role as a wife and mother. She was later blessed to serve as a family care hostess for Bacher Funeral Homes for 14 years. She was an active member of Lakeview Christian Church, serving in the choir, Sunday School secretary, Class treasurer, funeral dinner coordinator, Ladies' Aid officer, among other roles through the years. She was a member of Portage Lakes Chapter of AARP, producing their newsletter for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 1/2 years, Ralph G. Mills; her parents; and sisters, Eleanor Heckathorn and Alice Henry.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jeffrey Weinsheimer of Campbellsburg, IN; grandsons and  great grandchildren, Joseph and Sarah with Jaden, Finley, and Ellis Weinsheimer of Salem, IN, Daniel and Kirsten with Elijah and his awaited baby brother Weinsheimer of Memphis, IN; and sisters, Genevieve Cramer and Patricia Florio.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks to all who provided love and special care for Jeannette at Canton Christian Home and through Community Hospice.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2022, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (Portage Lakes), 3326 Manchester Road, Akron, OH 44319, where the Funeral Service will be Friday at 10:00 am with Pastor Jim Gindlesberger officiating.  Interment at Manchester Cemetery.
