Jerrold Neil Wenger

PORTAGE LAKES - Jerrold N. Wenger, 74, went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2018.  He was born August 15, 1943 in Akron to Russel and Daisy Wenger.  He graduated from Northwest High School in 1962, worked as an industrial electrician for Babcock & Wilcox, and was a member of Lakeview Christian Church, where he previously served as an elder and deacon.  He was a man who enjoyed helping others.                                                    

Jerrold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Wenger; and sister, LeNore Reed.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; son, Jay Wenger (Tonya Sawyers); daughter, Tammy (Shawn) Hillman; grandchildren, Larissa, Logan, Briar, Hunter; and great-grandson, Damian Jay.

Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home 3326 Manchester Rd. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m., where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
