John E. Cook

John E. Cook, 81, passed away March 25, 2009. Born Jan. 9, 1928 in Akron to the late Paul and Hazel Cook, John lived in the Akron area all his life. John retired from the FW Albreicht Grocery Co. and served in the US Army. He loved Carpentry, Golf, Fishing and Notre Dame Fan. John was also a faithful member of Prince of Peace Church and the Knights of Columbus 3529. Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his first wife Grace; son, Erik; and brother, Dave. He is survived by loving wife, Jean of 6 years; children, Mark (Denise), Gary (Karen), Heidi (Kevin) Campany, Heather (Dave) Jeffrys and Paul; grandchildren, John, Sydney, Lindsey and Andrew; great-granddaughter, Logan; sisters, Pat Benjamin, Margaret (Al) Denholm and Mary (George) Lewis; sister-in-law, Shirley Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10:00 am at Prince of Peace Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Barberton, OH 44203. Visitation will be at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON from 2 to 5 pm Sunday. John's final resting place will be Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
