John K. Lucas

John K. Lucas, 69, passed away on December 22, 2021 at home with his family by his side. He was born March 7, 1952 in Akron, Ohio to the late Scott and Annabelle Lucas. Over the years, John worked for the Kroger Company, Boston Distributors and was the owner of Pancake Creek Driving Range & Miniature Golf. John could hold a conversation with anyone, whether he knew them or not. He could discuss any topic, especially sports and politics. John was a wonderful husband, father and his favorite past time was watching his grandchildren play sports.

John was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Lucas; father-in-law, Robert Hurd. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Sharon; son, John (Emily) Lucas; daughter, Julie (Patrick) Vaccaro; brothers, Gary (Mary) Lucas, Martin (Ahlene) Lucas, Jeff (Linda) Lucas, Steven (Becky) Lucas; grandchildren, Nicholas Vaccaro, Allison Vaccaro, Patrick Vaccaro, Megan Vaccaro, Jack Lucas; step grandchildren, E. Graham, Chloe Graham; mother-in-law, Glenna Hurd; brother-in-law, Robert Hurd; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at immediately after starting at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
