John Harlan Steele

John Harlan Steele, age 60, passed peacefully on January 11 after complications from heart surgery.  John is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Alice Steele.

To know John was to love John. He had many wonderful friends and family members that are heartbroken by his passing. John had an incredible love for music, motorcycles, cars, fine bourbon and good craft beers. John was the ideal teammate for music trivia.  He knew music trivia that made you ask....how and why do you know that?

John leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Carol, stepdaughter, Brandi (Derrick) Gingras; sister, Sue (Terry) Rake; sisters-in-law, Jodi (Jerry) Reymann, Sharon (David) Williamson; grandchildren, Alexis and Samantha Gingras; nieces, Emily and Leah Rake and nephew, Jacob Rake. He also leaves behind many friends including a tight-knit group of childhood friends in Tiffin, Ohio.

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held at a time more appropriate for social gatherings. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Cleveland Clinic involved with John's loving care and support.
