Joseph P. Cassidy

Joseph P. Cassidy, 83, passed away Jan. 7, 2007 Born in Akron, Joseph lived on North Hill all his life. He retired from Morrison Motor Freight after 25 years of service. He was a life long member of St. Martha Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the Air Force during World War II. Joseph loved golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marjorie; children, Don (Florence Ann), Linda (Michael) Vinciguerra, and Larry (Pam); grandchildren, Jennifer, Marlene (Brian), David (Robin Coomer), Sharon (Shane), Dan (Erica), Colleen, and Kyle (Lorine Napoli); great-grandchildren, Ashton and Maggie; very special friends, Mike Hughes and Ruthie Nist; and many other loving family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10:00 am at St. Martha Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron with celebrant Rev. Father Michael Matusz. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Joseph's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hattie Larlham Foundation of Mantua or Cuyahoga Falls Country Place.
