Joseph Sweetheart) Ernest Shullo

STOW - Joseph E. Shullo "Joe" (Rosie's Sweetheart), 78, passed away suddenly August 2, 2008. Born in Akron to the late Ernest and Viola (Ginnetti) Shullo, He graduated from North High School and lived in the area all his life. He retired from the Continental Baking Co. with 35 years off service the General Manager. Joe had many interests including former memberships in the L'Unione Abruzzese Society and the Italian Center. He was the equipment manager for the Stow/Monroe Falls High School Football Team from 1999 to 2001. He was an avid Notre Dame Fan and an avid golfer, gardener and loved working in his yard. Along with his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his twin grandsons, Derek and Dillon. He is survived by his wife and sweetie, Rosie; daughters, Rita (Augie) Williams, Loretta (Pete) Mercer and Carol (Mark) Bray; sons, Steve, Paul (Melanie), Ken and Jason Shullo; grandchildren, Sarah, Lindsay, Michael, Amy, Brian, and Ashley; sister, Louise Swallow; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday, 10:00 am at HENNESSY-BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 936 N. MAIN ST., AKRON. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
