RAVENNA TWP. - Joseph E. Tenney, 58, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023.
     Joe was born Saturday, Feb. 6, 1965 to the late Dick and Judith (Corley) Tenney and lived in the Ravenna Twp. area most of his life. He was a faithful member of Portage Community Chapel, worked for Tallmadge Collision for over 30 years and was an honorable discharge veteran serving proudly in the US Army for 6 years.  His favorite past-time was spending time with his family and friends and doing the things he loved, including, Harley Davidsons, drag racing, skydiving, wake boarding, and many other adrenaline filled activities.  He enjoyed spending time in his yard (which was the nicest yard in Ravenna Twp.) and putting up Christmas lights winning the Most Original in 2022.
     Joe had an extremely strong faith and love of people, and people loved him right back.  He had a special way of talking to everyone and sharing his faith with them: that was truly special.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roger Rose.  He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Tenney; sons, Joseph Lee (Angela) Tenney and Alex Miles Tenney; granddaughters, Harper and Haisley; grandson, Walker; brother, Patrick (Dana Roy) Tenney; sisters, Denise Tenney-Sells, Rebecca Rose; "brother", Tank (Tina) Ballard; "son", Clint (Megan) Marsh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Patricia Larson; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Dana) Larson Jr. and Matthew Larson; nephews, Liam, Jeremy (Bri); niece, Cam (Bryan); great niece, Cheyenne (Anthony); great nephew, Raymond; great niece and great nephew, Kylee and Beau; great-great nephew, Harley; and many other loving family and friends. 
     Visitation will be Friday, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Portage Community Chapel, 6490 State Route 14, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.  The Funeral Service will be 11:30 am, Saturday at the church with Pastor Ray Sigworth, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Portage Community Chapel https://portagechapel.com/, American Diabetes Assoc. or Veterans Haven.
