Josephine Marie Andes

Josephine Marie Andes, 87, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2022. Jo was born to Italian immigrants, Michael and Genevieve Emanuele, on July 31, 1934. She was the youngest of five children, and the only girl. 

Jo grew up in west Akron and graduated from Buchtel High School in 1952. After graduating, she met and married Arthur Andes. Together they had three sons, Arthur, Brent and Michael. 

Following a short stint as a telephone operator at Ohio Bell, Jo began a successful career as a model and appeared in both print and TV.  Simultaneously, she embarked on and found her niche as an Akron area Realtor. She was a multimillion-dollar sales woman; Salesperson of the Year and Hall of Fame member. 

Jo loved to dance, cook, drink and travel, all the while looking beautiful! She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her brothers: Tony, Tom, Frank and Danny, as well as her husband, and son, Brent. She is survived by sons Arthur and Michael, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44310.  Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hennessy-Bagnoli-Moore Funeral Home, 936 North Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44310.  Josephine's final resting place will be Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 1:15 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
